Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LabRise Consulting ("we", "us") processes personal data when you visit this website. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This site is a coming-soon teaser for LabRise Core. It does not offer accounts, payments, or any platform service yet. The personal data we process is limited to the email address you voluntarily submit via the launch-notification form, plus the cookieless usage metrics described in section 2.

2. What data we process

Launch-notification email

When you submit the "Notify me" form, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you one notification when LabRise Core launches. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). This teaser does not add you to a mailing list, so there is no unsubscribe link; you may withdraw consent at any time by writing to privacy@labrise-consulting.com and we will delete your address (see section 6).

Usage analytics

On the home page we measure visits and use of the notify form with two cookieless tools. Neither stores anything on your device. We look at the results only in aggregate, and we do not use them to identify you or to follow you across other websites. Legal basis for both: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring interest in LabRise Core.

• Cloudflare Analytics Engine — for each page view, click on a "Notify me" link and successful form submission, we record one event with your country, the referring URL, a truncated IP address (the last octet is removed, e.g. 203.0.113.0/24) and — if you arrived via a tagged link such as a conference QR code (?ref=…) — that campaign label.
• Umami, which we host ourselves in the EU (Hetzner, Helsinki, Finland) — records the page address and title, the referring site, the campaign label, the same notify-form events, your approximate location (country, region and city, derived from your IP address), browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. To tell visits apart, Umami derives an identifier from your IP address and browser details with a salt that changes every month, so visits cannot be linked across months. Your IP address itself is not stored. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Umami records nothing (the Cloudflare measurement does not check this signal).

You may object at any time by writing to privacy@labrise-consulting.com, or stop both measurements in this browser with the switch below. The switch stores a single opt-out flag in your browser's local storage. Because these records are not linked to your name or email address, we generally cannot find the ones that concern you for an access or erasure request (Art. 11 GDPR).

Technical / security logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are controlled by Cloudflare under its own data-protection terms. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies

This site sets no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is therefore shown. We do collect cookieless usage metrics (see Usage analytics above), but these store nothing on your device. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

Our hosting and CDN provider Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse:

• __cf_bm — bot-management cookie, expires after approximately 30 minutes.
• cf_clearance — set only if you complete a Cloudflare security challenge; valid for the duration of your session.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the site's security and cannot be disabled. They do not track you across other sites and contain no personal identifiers beyond a temporary session token.

4. Legal basis

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for your launch-notification email
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for cookieless usage analytics (Cloudflare Analytics Engine and Umami)
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for security logging by our CDN

5. Recipients

We share personal data only with the providers listed on our subprocessors page, specifically:

• Cloudflare — hosts and secures this site and processes the usage metrics
• Hetzner — provides the EU server on which we run Umami; it receives the Umami usage metrics, not your email address
• Mailjet (Sinch) — relays the form submission and sends the launch notification email
• mailbox.org — our email provider; receives and stores the notification email containing your address

No other third parties receive your data.

6. Retention

We store your email address in our mailbox.org inbox until LabRise Core launches and the notification has been sent, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. We then delete it. We do not add you to any mailing list. Cloudflare Analytics Engine keeps usage events for three months. Umami usage data is kept for at most 24 months and then deleted; before deletion we keep only anonymous monthly totals (counts per page, event, referring site and country).

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France: the CNIL). To exercise your rights, contact privacy@labrise-consulting.com.

8. International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network; traffic and usage metrics may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Transfers are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Mailjet (France) and mailbox.org (Germany) store your email within the EU. Umami data stays in the EU (Finland).
